Q: How much relief have you already provided?
KSCH: “Till now we have mobilized 12 tons of food and 450 tarpaulins. We are running 8 community kitchens which are providing free meals for 8,600 people daily. Organized 12 relief camps in collaboration with Govt of West Bengal (helping 1600 families)”
Q: What are your future Plans and goals?
KSCH: “Our goal is to provide free meals to 15,000 people. We plan to build 5000 shelters and help restore the biodiversity of Sundarbans. We are planning to plant mangroves like we did last year (4L saplings implanted in the river banks).”
Q: How much money does it cost to serve an individual or a family, how much can people donate?
KSCH: “For every Rs. 10,000 we can buy 20 Tarpaulins that will rehabilitate shelter for 20 Families. Per day Rs. 7,000 will cost for two meals (lunch and supper) for 100 people. People can donate any amount because every amount will make a difference.”
