On 1st November, 2020 on Karnataka Rajyotsava Day we hosted our clean up drive in and around Vidhana Soudha with our partners The Indian Ploggers Army and Extinction Rebellion. Super Citizen Raj from The Indian Ploggers Army, Shaklain and Arush from Extinction Rebellion, and Jacob Cherian, Director of Engagement at Jhatkaa.org were present at the venue.
We were also joined by the Sakkhi group of lady motorbike riders. There were 27 volunteers who joined us for the clean up drive. We found 5 large sacks worth of dry waste in the 300 metres of space in front of Vidhana Soudha
During the clean up drive we saw a lot of sanitiser bottles and masks disposed off carelessly. The small effort of putting these garbage in the right dustbin will help to build a more Sustainable India– one of the 3 pillars of our vision.
