Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the Global MOVE summit that, “public transport must be the cornerstone of our mobility initiatives” and emphasized the need for mobility that is “safe, affordable and accessible for all sections of society which includes the elderly, the women and the specially abled”.

We couldn’t agree more! And for this to happen, we need more buses in our cities. Maharashtra has 27 large cities (>3 lakh population) but other than Mumbai and Pune to some extent, there is no public transport to speak of.

If cities are to thrive and avoid congestion and pollution, we need to come together and demand more buses. At least 50 per lakh people – “Lakh ko 50”.
